The ACO Musto Skiff World Championship 2026 is returning to Carnac, France this June - ten years after a hugely popular Worlds at the same venue.
With world class race management, a great social programme in place, and organised racing at one of Europe's most renowned sailing venues, Carnac promises to be a fantastic Championship both on and off the water.
If you've already entered, or you're considering entering, this guide is for you.
2026 Worlds Dates and Venue
- Event: ACO Musto Skiff World Championship 2026
- Dates: 6-12 June 2026
- Registration and practice sailing: 6th June
- Pre Worlds: 7th June
- Championship racing: 8th - 12th June (up to 14 races)
- Venue: Yacht Club de Carnac (YCC), Brittany, France
- Fleet: 50+ boats expected, international fleet
- Entry: Early entry still available until 30 April 2026
The Event Title Sponsor of the 2026 Worlds is ACO Group, a long-standing supporter of the class and our World Championship regattas. The event will also be supported by long-standing Class Title Sponsor, Musto, and class partner and boat builder, Ovington Boats.

The Race Schedule
You can find the latest Race Schedule in the NOR on the Yacht club de Carnac website here
Times may change depending on weather conditions, which may alter planned race schedules, but currently, the 2026 Worlds will include up to 14 races across the week, with 3 races planned each day over Monday to Thursday, and 2 races planned on the Friday.
There will also be a one-day Pre-Worlds on the Sunday before the Championship for some practice races.
The Social Schedule
A full programme of social activities and events has been planned for the regatta week, which is included in the entry fee for all competitors. An exclusive 2026 Worlds regatta t-shirt provided by Musto is also included in entry.
The socials will be hosted at the club and includes:
- A welcome night with a buffet and prize-giving after the Pre-Worlds,
- After sailing happy hour socials for the competitors
- BBQ night at the club
- Gala Dinner with a 4-course meal and some music and dancing.

Wind and Sailing at Carnac
Carnac is widely regarded as one of the finest dinghy sailing venues in Europe. The usual wind conditions in June are thermal winds, West/South-West in the afternoon, with a nice opportunity to sail in the afternoon (14:00 to 17.00) with 10/15knots. Alternatively, early birds can enjoy Easterly Winds up to 11.00.

Accommodation at Carnac

Many sailors like to bring family or friends to their event week, and some of you may want to extend your stay for some holiday time. Carnac is a stunning coastal location and there is lots to do in and around the region.

How to enter the ACO Musto Skiff World Championship 2026
The standard entry fee is EUR 500, with entries received before 30th April 2026 available at EUR 480. The class has also arranged for 50% discount for youths (aged 25 or under on 1st of January 2026), which is available until the entry closes. Full details can be found in the NOR.
