The second day of racing at the 2026 ILCA 4 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy got under way promptly at 11:00, as sailors headed out for another full schedule on the waters of Mar Menor, Spain.

Wind conditions ranged steadily between 9 and 13 knots throughout the afternoon, providing fair and consistent racing across all fleets. The first boats returned ashore at around 13:00, while the final fleets completed their day closer to 16:00.

All fleets successfully completed the two races scheduled, bringing the total number of races in the standings to four. With the championship now well under way, the leaderboard is beginning to take shape as consistency becomes increasingly important.

After racing, competitors were welcomed back ashore with a traditional paella, offering a perfect opportunity to relax and share the day's experiences.

Racing is set to continue tomorrow, with two more races scheduled as the championship progresses.
