Saturday 21st March proved to be the most perfect day for Dell Quay's cruiser lift in - not a cloud in the sky!

A gentle 4-6 knot NE breeze meant the chaps from Coussens Cranes had a nice relaxing day in the sun being organised by our own Henry Bettle who did a great job with the rest of his ground crew.

After months ashore, it was lovely to see our Cruiser fleet get wet again, a super well organised lift in meant that when breakfast from the galley was served at 1130 all involved were able to enjoy a full English breakfast before rigs were being hosted aloft ready for a busy season ahead.

Our cruisers enjoy a very active diary of events throughout the season ranging from little trips down Chichester Harbour to longer voyages around the Isle of Wight, Beaulieu and further west to the West Country. Always with a sense of humour, a glass of vino and a BBQ at their fingertips, these trips are guaranteed fun for all involved!

Dell Quay is a family orientated, super friendly club (Quoted as 'a small club with a big heart' at an open meeting last year) with very active members from our competitive dinghy racers, our adventure seeking Cruisers, equally adventure driven cruising dinghy sailors, our regatta winning rowing teams, a growing SUP and kayak section and not to forget a super competitive model yacht racing group!

Fancy being a part of our club? Why not follow us on Facebook and Instagram (Just search Dell Quay Sailing Club) to see what we get up to and drop us a line at we are running taster sessions later this spring, come and join us!
