The sixth edition of Ibiza JoySail is beginning to take shape with the confirmation of the first thirteen superyachts set to compete from 17 to 20 September in the waters of Ibiza and Formentera.

  • With thirteen superyachts already on the entry list, the sixth edition is poised to push the competitive bar higher than ever
  • The second phase of invitations has sparked considerable interest among captains and owners

With LOAs ranging from 89 to 131 feet, the initial fleet reflects the diversity, international character and increasing technical standard that define this regatta within the superyacht circuit.

Among the first confirmed entries include Aurelius, built by JOM Holland; Cervo and Inoui, both by Vitters; Geist, by Spirit Yachts; Karibu, by Oyster; Moat, by Nautor's Swan; Win Win, by Baltic Yachts; Rose, by Wally; and Nostromo, by Pendennis Shipyard. They are joined by four yachts built by Southern Wind: Gelliceaux, Kalantis, Liberty Squared and Morgana.

This combination reflects the balance that defines Ibiza JoySail and aligns seamlessly with its Corinthian spirit, a category that allows owners and crews to compete without modifying their yachts or compromising their essence.

After sending out the first round of invitations at the end of January, the organising team has set in motion a second phase directed at superyachts that had already signalled their intention to participate. The response has been especially encouraging, proof of the solid standing the regatta has secured and the high level of commitment it continues to inspire among owners and captains.

In many instances, the intention to take part in this edition had been conveyed to the organisers well in advance, a clear indication of the expectation that Ibiza JoySail continues to spark within the Mediterranean superyacht calendar.

Ana Teske, a member of the organising team who works closely with the superyachts, points to the growing buzz surrounding this edition:

"We're witnessing a tremendous level of enthusiasm from captains and owners alike. Many had already signalled their intention to take part even before entries were officially opened, a clear reflection of the connection and the degree of trust that the regatta has cultivated edition after edition".

The fleet confirmed to date already positions the 2026 edition at a high competitive level and represents more than half of the maximum fleet of 20 yachts, with additional entries expected as part of the second round of invitations, further strengthening the sporting dimension of the regatta.

What's more, the Perpetual Trophy - awarded to the yacht that completes the Mallorca-Ibiza crossing in the fastest time - will activate its official record attempt window between 15 August and 16 September.

With the entry list expanding and the second round of invitations in full swing, Ibiza JoySail 2026 continues to gather pace towards an edition set to deliver fierce action on the water and a truly welcoming atmosphere for owners and crews, from the racecourse to the shoreside programme.
