World Sailing has officially published the Notice of Race for the test event for the 2027 World Sailing Championships in Gdynia.

Gdynia will stage Men's Skiff, Women's Skiff, Mixed Dinghy, Mixed Multihull, and Para Inclusive events from 14-19 July 2026.

The Notice of Race is available to view and download on the World Sailing website.

Entry forms must be submitted through the Member National Authorities (MNAs).

World Sailing President, Quanhai Li, said, "The city of Gdynia has a storied maritime history, and we are delighted to take the World Sailing Championships to Poland as part of the city's centenary celebrations during the annual Gdynia Sailing Days festival. My thanks go to the Polish Yachting Association for their continued support and organisation of the Test Event in order to fine tune the process ahead of the World Sailing Championships."

David Graham, World Sailing CEO, added, "The test event in Gdynia is an important first step for sailors, race officials, and organisers to manage the event, test the proposed courses and all aspects of the race management systems, on-shore facilities and logistics. It also gives athletes an important opportunity to familiarise themselves with the conditions and prepare for the World Sailing Championships which, as well as deciding the new world champion, will also be a major qualification event for the LA28 Olympic Games."

Preparations for the test event included a site visit by World Sailing CEO, David Graham, and hosted by Tomasz Holc, President of the Polish Yachting Association, and Tomasz Chamera, Board Plenipotentiary of the PYA and Vice President of World Sailing.

The meeting covered the key areas of preparation and cooperation for the championships and featured representatives from the Gdynia Sports Centre, the Polish Yachting Association team, the City of Gdynia, including the Mayor Aleksandra Kosiorek, and local sports authorities, whose combined experience provides a solid foundation for efficient delivery of the event.

"This visit was an important step in the preparation process. It allowed World Sailing to meet directly with the teams involved on our side and with local partners responsible for delivering major sporting events," said Tomasz Holc, President of the Polish Yachting Association.

Tomasz Chamera, Board Plenipotentiary of the PYA and Vice President of World Sailing, said, "Hosting the World Sailing Championships 2027 also forms part of Poland's broader preparations for a future Olympic bid. This event is intended to confirm our strong position and demonstrate that we have the comprehensive, modern infrastructure and expertise required to deliver events of the highest international standard."

More information about the 2027 World Sailing Championships, which will be staged in Fortaleza and Gdynia in 2027, is available on the World Sailing website.

The 2027 World Sailing Championships in Gdynia, Poland, will be organised by Polish Yachting Association in partnership with the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Poland, the devolved government of Pomeranian Voivodship and the City of Gdynia.
