World Sailing is inviting Member National Authorities (MNAs), yacht clubs, manufacturers and regions and cities to bid to host the 2027-2029 Offshore Double Handed World Championships.

With the 2026 Offshore Double Handed World Championship to be held in Marseille, France in September 2026, World Sailing is seeking bids to continue to build on the success to date.

The event is a key aspect of Navigating Offshore, World Sailing's plan to support offshore sailing. The Offshore Double Handed World Championship, which uses supplied equipment, offers opportunities to promote accessibility, gender equity and sustainability.

Matt Allen, Oceanic and Offshore Chair said, "The event provides a unique opportunity to showcase the growing international appeal of double handed racing and promote the host venue or city around the world."

World Sailing recognises that venues have different needs and facilities as well as the complexities posed by the requirement of supplied equipment and encourages interested parties to contact World Sailing to seek clarification on requirements related to the event. World Sailing will consider bids for multiple consecutive years.

Full details about the bidding process and bid guidelines are available to potential bidders by contacting .
