Our Day in the Life video series continues, and after kicking things off with the Nacra 17 class, we're excited to feature our first 49erFX team—Belgium's Isaura Maenhaut & Anouk Geurts.

Olympic sailors, European Champions, and multiple-time podium finishers at major international events, Isaura and Anouk open the doors to their daily routine at the highest level of our sport. This episode was filmed one day before the start of the 2025 World Championships in Cagliari, Italy, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at final preparations before a major regatta.

The video follows the full rhythm of a high-performance day:
from breakfast and honest conversations about dealing with injury close to a championship, to meal prep and fridge stocking, ensuring fueling is dialed in for the days ahead. You'll see their mental and cognitive warm-up, quick stretching, and the transition to the boat park.

On the water, Isaura and Anouk train in the 49erFX, supported by drone footage and VHF communication, refining speed, starts, coordination, and decision-making. Recovery plays a key role too, with massage and physiotherapy after sailing, followed by dinner, a coach briefing, and a well-earned gelato to close out the day.

This series aims to showcase what life really looks like for sailors at the top of the game—balancing performance, preparation, recovery, and mindset in the lead-up to world-class competition.
