Overy Staithe Sailing Club Prize Giving Dinner

by Jennie Clark 4 Jan 10:09 GMT

Over 70 members of Overy Staithe Sailing Club joined together to celebrate the 2025 season and present trophies and commemorative glasses to the very many competitors who have raced at the club during the season.

Commodore Rodney Tidd, ably assisted by his wife Nadia and son Adam, presented the prizes, noting that 50 years previously his Mother had undertaken the same task at the club's prize-giving, held at The Victoria at Holkham on that occasion. It was gratifying to not only have an increased number of junior members attending but also to see them collecting a range of trophies. A magnificent supper was served after the prize-giving, and was followed by a photographic celebration of the year of sailing.

The club's AGM was held the following morning, and the 2026 sailing season starts on 4 April with three days of racing for the Easter Egg trophy.
