Superyacht Australia united with Melanesian Luxury Yachts and Maritime Cook Islands to co-host the South Pacific Stand at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show. From 24 - 27 September the stand profiled the region to an international audience, highlighting its exceptional cruising destinations, growing charter sector and advanced refit and maintenance expertise.

As the world's biggest and most prestigious event for the superyacht industry, the 34th annual Monaco Yacht Show showcased the very best in design, innovation and luxury lifestyle, bringing together 562 exhibitors and over 120 superyachts with an average of 47 metres, culminating in a combined value (30m+) of €4.3B.

For Australia and the wider South Pacific, a presence at the Monaco Yacht Show is vital to positioning the region as a compelling alternative to the congested Mediterranean and Caribbean for the global fleet. Showcasing the diversity of experiences and the strength of marine industry capability ensures valuable visibility among international stakeholders and builds the region's reputation as a hub for superyacht activity.

In attendance and representing Superyacht Australia on the South Pacific stand included, Acutec Systems, Echo Yachts, Nautical Solutions, Pacific Provisions, Rivergate Marina and Shipyard, Tax Navigate, The Lighthouse Consultancy, The Superyacht People, 3Beaches Textiles, Torrens Luxury Collection, Vaarzon-Morel Solicitors, Yachtsmen International and Blue Marine Travel.

Alongside the strong Superyacht Australian industry presence, the Superyacht Group Great Barrier Reef (SYGGBR) was also represented at this year's Monaco Yacht Show. This followed the recent transition of SYGGBR to be included in the administration of AIMEX and Superyacht Australia, a move that secures its continued participation at Monaco and other key international events including Tahiti, Fiji, Thailand, and the USA.

The combined presence of Superyacht Australia Members on the South Pacific Stand showcased the diversity and innovation of Australia's marine expertise, capturing the attention of Monaco Yacht Show attendees and elevating Australia's standing on the global superyacht stage.

On the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show, Superyacht Australia joined the Asia Pacific Superyacht Association's (APSA) Asia Superyacht Night at the Novotel Monaco. As the APSA Destination Partner, the event was an opportunity for David Good, CEO of Superyacht Australia to announce the launch of the Sydney Charter Show, now held in conjunction with the Australian Superyacht Conference, to the strong 300+ crowd.

The Sydney Charter Show and Superyacht Australia Conference, to be held on 22 - 24 February 2026 at Jones Bay Superyacht Marina in Sydney is an exclusive, invitation-only three-day event that will highlight charter opportunities across Australia and the South Pacific, while cementing Sydney Harbour's global reputation. Building on five successful years of the Superyacht Australia Soirée, the show responds to strong demand from vessels and brokers for greater engagement with current and prospective clients.

Whilst at the show, Superyachts.com interviewed David Good on the official launch of the Sydney Charter Show, discussing what the new event will mean for Australian and South Pacific tourism. He highlighted how the show aligned with major international events including the Formula 1 in Melbourne and SailGP in Sydney, and will provide a unique platform to showcase the region's charter opportunities to the global market. The full interview can be viewed here.

The Superyacht Australia Magazine Issue 13 was launched internationally on day one at the show, providing the global superyacht community with a comprehensive resource covering Australia the wider Asia Pacific destinations, refit capabilities, industry innovation and marine tourism opportunities. The magazine proved a strong drawcard to the stand, with all copies quickly taken up by attendees.

Another popular attraction at the stand was the uniquely Australian touch provided by Rivergate Marina & Shipyard who offered Vegemite tastings and giveaways. The initiative not only sparked conversation but also gave international visitors a fun and memorable taste of Australian culture, complementing the industry showcase. And for those less convinced by their first taste of Vegemite, the world-famous Tim Tams offered by Pacific Provisions more than made up for it.

On Thursday, Maritime Cook Islands hosted an Island Fiesta Event on the South Pacific Stand, serving Cook Islands inspired cocktails and attracting around 150 guests and reinforcing the strong interest in the region.

Katrina Matheson, Head of Marketing and Media, Maritime Cook Islands, commented; "The Monaco Yacht Show is a pivotal event for us, serving as the perfect platform to energize our European network. With our own office here in Monaco and our agents in Italy, Spain, and Turkey, it's our annual opportunity to connect in person and align our strategies. At the same time, our collaboration on the stand with partners like Superyacht Australia is invaluable. It provides a unique opportunity to engage with clients who are planning their Pacific journey, allowing us to connect with a wider audience than we could alone and powerfully promote the entire region."

Echo Marine Group and Rivergate Marina and Shipyard co-hosted a captain's lunch on the Friday which both proved to be extremely successful in connecting with stakeholders and showing the enjoyable hospitality of the South Pacific.

Niamh Brennan & Sonya Romeo, Co-Founders, 3Beaches Textiles together commented; "The Monaco Yacht Show was an incredible opportunity for 3Beaches Textiles to showcase Australian design on the world stage. We were proud to present our luxury performance fabrics, designed on the Gold Coast and manufactured in partnership with Sunbrella®, to the global superyacht community. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with strong interest from international shipyards, designers and suppliers. It was exciting to see such enthusiasm for Australian innovation and craftsmanship, and we look forward to building on the connections made to further strengthen Australia's reputation in the global marine industry."

In addition, several international charter brokers expressed interest in working with Australian brokers to design bespoke itineraries for their clients. The focus was on positioning Australia and the South Pacific as destinations that offer the full spectrum of cruising experiences, world-class facilities, natural beauty, and cultural depth, while also providing a unique alternative to more traditional charter regions.

David Good, CEO of Superyacht Australia, commented; "The South Pacific stand continues to grow in importance, marketing the whole region is our first priority before marketing Australia's place within it. This is the fifth Monaco Show where we have held a South Pacific Stand rather than an Australian one and the visitation of large yachts to the South Pacific continues to grow as a result."
