Pindar by Manuport Logistics sponsor Joshua Schopfer Mini Transat Campaign

by Pindar & Co. 20 Sep 09:33 BST

Pindar by Manuport Logistics is proud to announce its sponsorship of 26 year-old Swiss offshore sailor Joshua Schopfer as he takes on the 2025 Mini-Transat, a legendary 4,050 nautical mile solo yacht race across the Atlantic Ocean, from Les Sables d'Olonne in France to Guadeloupe, part of the French Antilles Islands in the Eastern Caribbean.

After two years of intense preparations, Joshua will set sail on Sunday, September 21st at 15:30 Central European Time. With 90 entries in this years' race, the competition will be fierce, with the Mini-Transat known to be a springboard for future ocean racing stars.

Previous to taking on the Mini-Transat Race, Joshua raced in dinghies, achieving good results in Switzerland and also internationally. During this time, Joshua discovered keelboats, foilers, windsurfing and more recently offshore yacht sailing. The most logical next step for this Genevan was to set himself the goal of crossing the Atlantic.....single-handed!

"The idea of doing the Mini Transat has been on my mind for more than 10 years." said Joshua. "Now that my studies are behind me, it's high time to embark on this large-scale challenge. My goal is to do everything possible to achieve the best possible result."
