Sail for Gold is delighted to announce that Pindar, a total solutions provider for publishing and print from ink to internet, has become both a Supporting Sponsor and the Official Print Supplier to RYA Sail for Gold 2004.

Sail for Gold is working closely with the Pindar owned rapid response franchise network AlphaGraphics, a leading provider of print-related and digital publishing services for businesses worldwide. “The AlphaGraphics design and print teams are providing outstanding support and advice for Sail for Gold’s extensive campaign elements, which combined with Pindar’s substantial support in other areas, makes the company’s contribution invaluable.” commented Gavia Wilkinson-Cox, Event Director of Sail for Gold.

Pindar who have sponsored British record breaking sailing heroine, Emma Richards for the last five years, additionally pledged its support for Sail for Gold 2004 by donating an amazing sailing day for six people in the Solent on board Pindar AlphaGraphics, to be used as a part of the fundraising activities at the Sail for Gold Ball on 3 June. The ball is a prestigious fundraising and corporate hospitality event, held each Olympic year and hosted by HRH The Princess Royal, KG GCVO, President of the RYA.

“We are delighted to be sponsoring RYA Sail for Gold and thrilled to help raise funds to support Britain’s Olympic and Paralympic Team Sailors”, said Robin Gray, Director of Pindar’s Ocean Racing. “Sail for Gold provides extensive networking contacts and connects exceptionally well with our own apprenticeship programme “.

Pindar’s recent grass-root apprenticeship programme features Hannah Mills, the 15-year-old Welsh schoolgirl who is an exciting future sailing talent having already won the Ladies Optimist Worlds and UK Young Sailor of the Year. The aim for this project is to capture and nurture Hannah’s exceptional talent, which could take her to the Olympics and beyond.
