Upcoming Oil Spill Response Course

Virtual Session (Part B), 21 August, 2 pm - 4 pm AEST

Oil spills can happen anytime, and being prepared makes all the difference. This essential course equips marina staff with the skills needed to respond quickly and safely to oil and chemical spills, using real industry case studies and practical demonstrations.

The course is delivered in two parts:

Part A: Self-paced online module (12 hours) covering marina case studies, legal requirements, spill response equipment, chemical hazards, and documentation. This must be completed before attending the live session.

Part B: Live 2-hour virtual session via Zoom with an experienced industry presenter. The session explores real-life spill scenarios, how to set up and use spill kits, and your WHS and environmental responsibilities.

Participants will gain valuable knowledge to enhance spill response readiness and environmental safety at their marina. A certificate is issued upon completion.

Location: Online via Zoom
