The all new Sportsman Open 402 Center Console is a 40 foot flagship built for family and offshore adventure. Combining a refined interior full of luxuries with integrated electronics, Seakeeper Ride, and powerful outboard options, it sets a new standard in durability, comfort and performance.

The Open 402 marks a bold leap forward for Sportsman Boats and embodies the brand's new Sportsman 3.0 design language—a refined, purposeful direction centered on innovation, luxury and family-first functionality.

A Flagship with Purpose

At 40' 4" long and a 13' beam, the Open 402 blends unmatched scale with thoughtful design. It offers a fully appointed interior—complete with convertible queen berth, galley, enclosed shower, air conditioning and media system—making it ideal for extended family outings or multi-day adventures.

Seakeeper Ride VACS is built-in from the start—designed to eliminate up to 70% of pitch and roll and provide automatic trim control, coordinated turns and level-list stabilization across all sea conditions.

Premium Standards, Total Control

Standard features include SportLink® integration, dual Garmin 9227 4K chartplotters, SeaStar Interact DCM digital switching, Yamaha Command Link Touchscreen, premium JL Audio stereo, bow thruster and multiple underwater LED lights—all part of the full-featured helm package.

The Open 402 features Sportsman's SportTech® vacuum-infused, no wood construction with our reinforced full-grid stringer system for next level durability and backed by a 10 year limited hull warranty. Every model is NMMA Yacht Certified as standard.

Customize with Tournament-Level Options

For serious offshore fishing and tournament performance, SportLink® integrated Garmin radar, dual VHF radios, pressurized live wells, mezzanine refrigerated box, and even a custom Marlin tower with full controls are available as options.

Power to Match the Promise

Power packages scale from quad Yamaha F350 outboards to triple Yamaha XTO Offshore 450s or even Mercury AMS V10 motors—delivering up to 1,600 HP to match the flagship's ambition.

Pricing & Availability

Starting MSRP for the Open 402 begins at $857,990, offering a premium-level platform crafted for uncompromising performance and onboard comfort. Current builds are configurable through Sportsman's Design Studio for hull, engine and upholstery customizations.
