Dangerous fishing Monday on South Coasts

by Recreational Fishing Alliance of NSW 8 Jun 13:34 BST
Dangerous fishing conditions update © RFA of NSW

Why

Fresh northwesterly winds are being generated by cold fronts crossing the coast during the weekend, extending out of a low pressure system which will move into the Tasman Sea during Monday. This system will generate windy coastal conditions but slowly dissipate as a high pressure ridge influences the coast mid to late week.

Where

BOM is warning about dangerous conditions for rockfishing and boating on Monday on all coasts south of Sydney, with seas of 3 metres and 3 metre mixed southerly and south easterly swells.

Swell period

Swell period will be around 10 seconds.

Check local forecasts to get the latest before you go out on the BOM website.
