Sharrow Engineering announces plans to build nationwide manufacturing network

by Sharrow Marine 5 Jun 18:09 BST

Sharrow Engineering, the company behind the revolutionary Sharrow Propeller™, today announced plans to build a nationwide 5-axis CNC manufacturing network to support its expanding operations across both its recreational division, Sharrow Marine, and its new affiliate, Sharrow Labs. This initiative represents a strategic evolution in U.S.-based manufacturing, designed to scale production efficiently by tapping into the strength and capabilities of the existing domestic industrial base.

With demand for the Sharrow Propeller growing rapidly across recreational, commercial, and government sectors, the company is investing in a national network of advanced 5-axis CNC machine shops that meet the highest industry standards—including ISO 9001:2000 for quality management, AS9100 for aerospace manufacturing, and ITAR registration for defense-related production. This initiative leverages the existing talent, capacity, and infrastructure of the U.S. manufacturing base to scale production and support future innovation.

"We're proud to be expanding our footprint in Detroit while also building a national manufacturing backbone that supports American jobs," said Greg Sharrow, Founder and CEO of Sharrow Engineering. "By creating a flexible and scalable production network, we can meet the demand for Sharrow Propellers today, and support the manufacturing of future technologies coming out of Sharrow Labs tomorrow."

Sharrow Engineering's new manufacturing network will support multiple divisions, including Sharrow Marine, which specializes in recreational and commercial marine applications, and Sharrow Labs, a newly launched innovation affiliate focused on developing breakthrough technologies in mobility, energy, and transportation. The network also strengthens Sharrow Engineering's capabilities in delivering high-precision solutions for government and defense partners.

The company is also relocating its headquarters to Michigan Central, Detroit's emerging global center for mobility innovation. From this new base, Sharrow Engineering will coordinate R&D, IP management, and advanced manufacturing efforts across its business units.
