Solaris Cup 2025: Eighty yachts, four days of racing and celebrations

by Solaris Yachts 3 Jun 21:57 BST 29 May - 1 June 2025

The 11th edition of the Solaris Cup concluded with great success, welcoming 80 Solaris yachts and nearly 1,000 participants to the stunning waters of Porto Rotondo from May 29 to June 1.

Organized by Solaris Yachts, in partnership with the Yacht Club Porto Rotondo and the Marina di Porto Rotondo, the event once again confirmed its status as a highlight of the Mediterranean sailing calendar.

This year's edition saw yachts ranging from the 12-meter Solaris 37 to the 33-meter Solaris 111 compete in a perfectly executed format that blended spectacular sailing with vibrant onshore events.

The regatta unfolded over two days of racing, with yachts divided into three groups by length but starting together in a spectacular single-start format. The classic "butterfly" courses through the beautiful Gulf of Porto Rotondo used the natural marks of Mortorio and Soffi islands to frame the action on the water.

Perfect conditions returned for the final day of racing. Giovi confirmed her dominance, winning overall in both real and corrected time. The Solaris 60 Crazy Diamond (Enzo Pelizzaro) triumphed in Group 0, while the Solaris 44 Pittilanto(Pierpaolo Zani) secured first place in Group A.

The celebrations continued ashore with the traditional prize-giving ceremony and the legendary crew party, featuring live music and a DJ set that kept spirits high late into the night.

A celebration of Solaris Yachting

This year's event once again underlined Solaris Yachts' commitment to excellence, community, and craftsmanship. The Solaris Cup is more than a regatta—it is a gathering of passionate owners, crews, and partners and a symbolic launch of the summer sailing season.

Next up: Solaris Cup returns to the Adriatic this October, alongside the world-renowned Barcolana Regatta, for the Barcolana Solaris Adriatic Cup 2025.
