Burton Sailing Club have the honour of hosting a Phantom trio special at the beginning of June. The P&B Phantom Inland Championships, GJW Direct Super Series and Midland area traveller series all in one.

It's the premier inland event of the season to decide who will be crowned Inland Champion 2025. The championships will no doubt attract many of the midland clubs and visitors from further afield and other regions. One of the factors in deciding on Burton SC this year other than it being central to all regions, is to try and entice the nearly twenty strong home fleet to participate and hopefully encouraging them to travel to other Phantom open events.

The class is well known for its friendly approach to racing and sharing of knowledge... we could be looking at a massive entry!

The Inland Championships will deliver a six race series over the weekend of the 7th/8th June with NOR, SIs available on the club website www.burtonsailingclub.co.uk/index.php/open-meetings and class association website www.phantomclass.org.uk where entry is now open.

Early entry registration discount up to 31st May of £35.00, thereafter £45.00.

In addition to the weekend racing, a training day is being held on Friday 6th June. Free to class association members and only £20.00 to non members (or just join the class association for the year on the day!).

It's your opportunity to receive some high quality coaching focusing on individual boat set up, tuning tips and answers to all those Phantoming mysteries from boat speed gurus. The day will be split into onshore boat tuning and on the water technique coaching. This year run by a legend of the class John 'Titch' Wayling, probably one of the most experienced Phantom sailors in the class and previous Chief Measurer supported by no less than our class Chairman Rob Cook, a proven 'fast boy'. Both very approachable and keen to share their extensive experience and know how.

This Northampton SC coaching duo will definitely make you go faster, so if you want to learn some new skills, boat tuning tips and go fast sailing techniques book on the training session via the Phantom Class Association website www.phantomclass.org.uk

Camping is available on site from 5.00 pm on Thursday - Sunday with full catering over the weekend bookable on entry.

We are thankful for the fantastic support for the weekend by our event partners: Pinnell and Bax, and GJW Direct.
