Tony Jones has joined Princess Yachts Australia as Sales Executive, a move that he describes as in synergy with his career and boating lifestyle.

After nearly eight years with Horizon Yacht Australia, the opportunity to join Princess Yachts Australia was one too good to pass up.

"Princess is a family-oriented company with an emphasis on owners and enhancing their experience at every stage of their journey," said Tony.

"That really resonated with me and when Greg approached me, I leapt at the chance. I am already experiencing the 'Princess difference' speaking with loyal owners about the upcoming Sanctuary Cove boat show and the new models in the Princess range."

Tony has been warmly welcomed by Managing Director, Greg Haines and the team at Princess, many of whom have played a significant role in his career over the years.

"During the decade I worked at Maritimo, I worked closely with Greg on Marketing, Sales and Events," Tony said. "That was a really productive relationship which focused on creating a genuine connection with owners."

Following his Marine Engineering apprenticeship which he started at 17 at Runaway Bay Marina, Tony worked at Riviera where he met Scott Davis who was in a sales and service role there at the time and became a mentor to young Tony.

Scott, who now heads up Sales at Princess Yachts Australia, has been with Princess for the past 13 years, previously running his own brokerage business.

Tony is a long-time Princess owner, having enjoyed many years of cruising with family and friends aboard a Princess 45 and 57, and he already has his sights set on his third.

"There are many unique aspects of Princess - in their approach to design, their commitment to innovation and customer service, support and the camaraderie among owners which Greg and the team have raised to the next level in Australia."

On a recent trip to the UK with his sister to visit relatives, Tony experienced the legendary Princess hospitality for himself. "Even though I worked for a different boat brand, they welcomed us to the Princess shipyard and showed us through. It was very enlightening as an owner and now, Sales representative."

Joining the tight team of eight, now nine, Tony will bring his decades of experience and stamina to the role to bolster the brand and promote Princess in new markets.

"Tony's extensive knowledge of luxury yachts, market trends and customer expectations allow him to provide personalised service to discerning clientele," said Greg Haines, Managing Director.

"He has travelled the world and has a vast depth of technical understanding and a natural affinity for boating, which owners will appreciate."

Since taking the helm in 2019, Greg Haines has expanded the footprint of Princess Yachts in Australia, adding dealer offices offering sales, support and service in Sydney and Perth.

"Tony is a great fit to the national team," Greg stated. "David and Sean in Sydney and Matt and Tom in Perth are young and energetic, with a great depth of experience and product knowledge. We look forward to welcoming owners and guests to what will be a fantastic Princess line-up at SCIBS 2025."
