Zadar is set to host the second regatta of the prestigious Luki Baustoffe CRO Melges 24 Cup, organized by the Uskok Sailing Club. Sixteen crews, including Croatia's elite sailors and international teams from Italy and Poland, are registered to compete.

"Uskok Sailing Club is passionate about high-caliber regatta sailing," stated Luka Jakovcev, a member of the organizing committee. "We're thrilled to welcome back Croatia's best and the impressive Melges 24 fleet to Zadar. We anticipate a fantastic competition, complemented by our longstanding tradition of post-race camaraderie."

The season opener in Biograd saw the "Razjaren" crew take top honors, while "Panjic Junior" made a remarkable debut, winning the junior category for sailors under 24.

"The CRO Melges 24 Cup provides young sailors with invaluable experience, applicable across various classes," explained 17-year-old Lucijan Jakovljev, helmsman of "Panjic Junior." "It's a unique opportunity to race alongside renowned figures in Croatian sailing."

This year, the introduction of a dedicated junior category underscores the regatta's commitment to fostering young talent.

"The 'Panjic Junior' crew is a significant asset to our class in Croatia," emphasized accomplished sailor Tomislav Bašic. "Their performance in Biograd was exceptional, demonstrating skillful maneuvers, competitive speed, and impressive maturity in their race decisions."
