Orca has unveiled the upgraded Orca Core 2, its most advanced Smart Navigation Hub yet. With major enhancements in accuracy, power efficiency, and performance, the Core 2 sets a new bar for marine electronics.

Boaters worldwide rely on the Orca Core 2 to view sensor data, control autopilots, view radar information, and navigate with pinpoint precision via their tablets, phones, and Orca Displays.

Precision and Power in One System

The upgraded Orca Core 2 boasts a redesigned logic board and built-in sensors. The result is a GNSS accuracy with 1.5m CEP and a compass precision down to 1.5 degrees. This level of accuracy makes the Core 2 excellent for harbor and challenging near-shore navigation. The improved accuracy is also perfect for racers who want the most accurate sailing data possible.

Adding to the performance improvements, the upgraded Orca Core 2 is twice as power efficient as its predecessor, drawing only 100mA at peak and 70mA during regular operation, making it perfect for long sailing trips.

"At Orca, our goal is to make high-end navigation experiences available to all boaters," said Kristian Fallrø, CTO of Orca. "The Orca Core 2 allows boaters to use their phones and tablets as true high-end chartplotters, and with this upgrade, boaters now get industry-leading GNSS and compass accuracy at the same price."

Orca Core 2 vs other Premium GNSS Systems

Orca Core 2 was tested against a wide range of industry-leading GNSS receivers and compasses. In head-to-head tests against the Furuno SCX-20, a high-end GNSS system, the Orca Core 2 delivered comparable accuracy and surpassed the SCX-20 in course correction speed. Orca delivers its Smart Navigation Hub at half the price of a SCN-20, making the Core 2 an unbeatable value for boaters. For test result details, visit the Orca website.

Available Now

The upgraded Orca Core 2 is available for purchase through the Orca Store. Whether you're a coastal cruiser, racer, or weekend sailor, the Core 2 offers professional-grade navigation and seamless boat integration.
