It was a wonderful three days of sailing on the picturesque Lake Thun. Twenty-two races were run under a radiant sun and a wind of 4 to 6 knots. The twelve teams were able to compete eleven times each and show their know-how. The two teams from Germany gave the event an international touch.

The team from Regattaclub Bodensee won with skipper Livia Naef and her team of Tessa Egli, Dani Rast, Mirjam Abegglen, and Sandra Giovani.

They were followed in second place by Regattaclub Oberhofen; their team consisted of skipper Michelle Fluck, Lisa Thonen, Salvina Fries, Romea Fries, and Karin Fankhauser.

The German team "Die Pfeifen" from the Segler-Verein Stössensee placed third. Their team included skipper Helen Fischer, Wiebke Gewinn, Christina Wilhelm, and Jansch Hanne.

We congratulate all the teams for their superb performances! It was a pleasure to see the many improvements made since the start of the season.

"The Wacker TV team offered a professional live broadcast of the races for Saturday and Sunday," commented by Emilia Pöttinger from the Segel-Bundesliga Österreich and Nathalie Birt from Yachtclub Cern.

Sports interviews were also carried out on the water and on land, with well-known faces like Claudia Böhm, Stefan Seger and Jean -François de Cerjat. The umpire debriefings, a very popular question-and-answer session, were also filmed and can be watched during the winter.

"We are very happy with this first edition of the Swiss Sailing HEIDI CUP and thank all participants and volunteers. We are already looking forward to next year, when we can organize this women's event at Yachtclub Spiez. Save the date: October 11 to 13, 2024!!"
