US Sailing, the national governing body of the sport of sailing, and Risk Strategies Company and its wholly owned Gowrie Group subsidiary, a leading national specialty insurance and risk management firm have announced a multi-year partnership extension to continue their support of sailors and sailing organizations in the U.S. through financial support, comprehensive insurance programs, risk management solutions, and safety resources.

Gowrie Group will continue to serve as the Official Yacht Club & Sailing Organization Insurance Agency for US Sailing, along with being US Sailing's exclusive Marine Insurance Partner. As part of this partnership, Chubb, the world's largest publicly traded property and casualty insurance company, will underwrite the Burgee Program and be the presenting sponsor of the 2023 Chubb US Youth Triplehanded Championship for the Sears Cup.

Gowrie Group has been offering custom marine insurance programs to US Sailing members for more than 25 years as part of this long-standing, important partnership including the Burgee Insurance Program for sailing organizations, the One-Design Insurance Program for one-design boats 30-feet and under, and the SailorsHealth Insurance Program for those living an active lifestyle on the water. These specialized marine insurance programs have been custom developed to serve and support the unique coverage needs of sailors and sailing organizations.

As part of this multi-year partnership extension, Gowrie Group will remain an ongoing and significant supporter of US Sailing's Siebel Sailors Program, which aims to increase opportunity, access, and diversity in the sport of sailing. The Siebel Sailors Program engages youth from diverse backgrounds, provides scholarships for under-resourced children, and adapts to meet the needs of the individual sailors. Insurance offerings and event sponsorship provided by this partnership, will help US Sailing strengthen its commitment to supporting sailing organizations and the sailing community as a whole.

"US Sailing and Gowrie have a deep and productive relationship that has developed over the past 25 years," said Alan Ostfield, CEO of US Sailing. "Insurance solutions such as the Burgee Program, Gowrie's comprehensive insurance program developed to meet the unique needs of sailing organizations, help them manage their businesses, serve their members, and improve their sailors' experience on the water. Our affiliation helps facilitate programs like this that are important to the health, safety, and sustainability of our sport."

"Our entire marine team is proud and excited to extend our long-standing partnership with US Sailing," said Whitney Peterson, Director of Marketing & Partnerships at Gowrie - Risk Strategies. "This important partnership facilitates our ability to bring innovative insurance solutions, thought leadership, safety resources, and support to the national sailing community. Through our strong working partnership, we look forward to supporting a broad range of US Sailing's key programs, championships, and events. We will be returning as a Gold Sponsor at the upcoming Sailing Leadership Forum and the Presenting Sponsor of the Championship of Champions."

For years, Chubb, through this partnership, has played a central role in supporting youth championship events. Chubb will continue their position as title sponsor for the Chubb U.S. Junior Sailing Championships, which will be sailed as the Chubb US Youth Triplehanded Championship in 2023 and 2024.

"We are excited about the continuance of our long-standing, important relationship with US Sailing. We very much look forward to working closely with everyone in a coordinated effort to offer best-in-class marine related insurance products and solutions to US Sailing's organization and individual members, through our many programs, including The Burgee Program, The One Design Program, and our Crew Medical Programs," shared John Fisher, Managing Director, Gowrie - Risk Strategies.
