Elco app turns any mobile device into dashboard

by Elco Motor Yachts 7 Jan 2023 15:33 GMT

Data monitoring for Elco motors can now be done wirelessly from nearly any mobile device with the introduction of the Dash Bluetooth Dashboard Display. An available option on all 2023 Elco outboards, plus new EP-6, EP-12 and EP-20 inboards, it displays a wealth of real-time vital data, has automatic performance notifications and enables instant reporting.

With all data funneled through a free companion app, the Elco Dash turns any Android or iOS mobile device into a modern, information-packed dashboard. Its colorful interface with bold graphics is intuitive to use, quickly guiding owners through pairing with the Elco motor and calculating battery capacity.

Once configured, the Elco Dash app displays speed in MPH, KPH or knots, as well as RPM and remaining battery charge both graphically and numerically. It also monitors critical system data such as remaining runtime, nautical miles remaining, voltage, current and wattage.

A convenient alert appears when only 20% battery life remains so owners know it's time to wrap up the day's activities. Should performance data fall outside operating parameters, warning indicators display, and with a touch, a report sends to Elco for troubleshooting.

Users can even share photos or video of their fun Elco experiences on the water to social media, or join the Port Elco Facebook group, right from the app. The Elco Dash Bluetooth Dashboard Display is available from Elco with motor purchase; the free companion app can be downloaded at www.bit.ly/ElcoDashAndroid and www.bit.ly/ElcoDashApple.

Elco was founded for the 1893 Chicago World's Fair as the first electric boat production builder. Today, the company offers leading-edge, clean and quiet electric outboard and inboard propulsion systems up to 250 hp as well as modern replicas of electric launches from the 1800s.
