Only one week to go before the Phantom Class gather for its annual Inland Championship, this year with a change of venue, Draycote Water SC. Still centrally located in the midlands for all four national regions, just south of Rugby.

With 30+ entries for last year's event at Northampton SC the class are hoping for another great turnout.

There are plenty of familiar faces showing good form at open events this year already, and also nice to see some newbies pushing up the fleet around the country, showing how versatile the Phantom class is.

So, will this year's Inlands Championship be dominated by previous champions, or shall we see some new cream rising to the top? Either way we are in for a treat of a weekend.

Draycote Water Sailing Club is looking forward to welcoming the Phantom fleet to their 650 acres of water for sailing, and sure they will be putting on a racing weekend to enjoy with six races spread over the two days. The event also forms part of the Midlands Traveller Series, which has been attracting a regular group of sailors from across the region and further afield.

If you haven't yet got organized, the event is still open for entries via the Phantom Class website.
