The 2000 Class National Championship sponsored by ASTRAL AZURE Ltd, takes place this year at Castle Cove Sailing Club, which is a beautiful sailing venue at Weymouth. There will be daily support and advice available, as well as 3 coaching debrief sessions run by professional coaches.

Race categories will be in place for various standards of sailors, with prizes in the newcomer fleet (new to National Championships), family junior fleet (family teams with one person under 16), as well as silver and gold fleets.

Castle Cove is a fabulous venue for the Nationals. There's a boat park next to the club with easy launching into Portland Harbour and a short sail to the race area. Enjoy the CCSC club, bar, dining room and balcony all with fabulous views across the bay.

Racing will be predominantly within the huge harbour, with one longer day out in the bay.

A photographer will be on hand throughout the event and all competitors will be able select a fantastic picture as part of their entry.

The busy social programme will keep everyone entertained, and four sailing suppers are included in the entry fee, including the final evening dinner.

The event has title sponsorship from Astral Azure, and is also supported by Rooster, Noble Marine, Cerne Abbas Brewery, and Fernhurst books.

The generous support from our partners allows us to have a wonderful prize list for distribution throughout the fleet, as well as added extras at the event.

This is a truly great value event with entry being £220 before 22nd June.

To view the NoR and enter, just go to the Castle Cove SC, www.ccsc.org.uk/event/open-meets-2000-nationals

NOTE: For those who entered the 'free entry' draw early in 2022 by sending details to the Sailing Sec, you still need to enter via the CCSC website, but just select the 'deposit paid' option when purchasing your entry.

Our Aims:

The Class Association aims to create events for 2000 Class sailors that will provide enjoyable sailing in a friendly, competitive environment, in line with the Class Association Code of Conduct.
