After two years of boat show disruptions, it's no wonder that exhibitors at this years' shows are keen to advise their presence. Multihull Solutions is set for a show-stopping display at the 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show with three exclusive Asia Pacific launches.

The company will be premiering the remarkable NEEL 43 trimaran, Fountaine Pajot's Isla 40 sailing catamaran and the MY4.S by Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts, for the first time in the Asia Pacific region - alongside the hugely popular ILIAD 50. There has already been a steady stream of appointments booked to inspect these models at the show with cruising enthusiasts looking forward to the chance to finally explore the extensive range on offer at this leading marine event.

Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts' new MY4.S is one of the exclusive new launches at the show, which has just arrived in Australia and available for immediate sale. This stunning new Sports version features sleek and elegant lines, and oversized interior living areas that shatter benchmarks set by monohull motor yachts of this size.

The Yacht Sales Co is also gearing up for a busy show from 19-22 May with two of the shipyard's finest models on display: the Dufour 470 and the Dufour 530. Company manager Bob Vinks says appointments to inspect the yachts at the event are already filling up. The Dufour 470 combines both Dufour's vast expertise and the brand's commitment to innovation, with its hull design and fluid deck layout delivering a sophisticated aesthetic and stunning performance.

Available in three versions, the model on display at Sanctuary Cove will be the Ocean version that suits owners who wish for a more traditional movement plan with the sheets positioned on the coamings and the halyard and mainsail trolley handlings near the helm station. The yacht is also available in an Easy and Performance version to cater for relaxed cruisers and thrill-seeking racers alike.

It is not just boat shows that are returning to a normal timetable, industry conferences are also re-appearing. The Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) has announced the first round of speakers for its upcoming annual conference, ASMEX 2022, to be held in May at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast attracting several international industry leaders as speakers. This year's theme 'Reconnecting with the world' will focus on the direction of the export, superyacht and commercial sectors of Australia's marine industry as they adapt to 'living with Covid' while continuing to face the challenges of ongoing positive growth.

Martin Redmayne, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, The Superyacht Group, will return as emcee and moderator for the conference. Redmayne said, "I am thrilled to be joining ASMEX again this year. It is the pinnacle event for Australian marine industry leaders where they come together to discuss and debate recent growth outcomes the Australian industry is experiencing and future challenges."

Meanwhile, the 2022 Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong showcased the best of Corio Bay over the weekend, with 89 classic and wooden boats attracting record numbers to the festival and the waterfront. The Royal Geelong Yacht Club hosted the biennial event with on-water racing, static display boats, festival exhibitors and live music by local and Victorian acts entertaining the crowd over three days.

Wangim Walk provided the focal point of action on Saturday, with festivalgoers packing the 440-metre-long wave attenuator for a glimpse at two Tall Ships in attendance, the STS Young Endeavour and Enterprize, the latter of which was at capacity for most of the day with hour-long on-water sailing adventures.

And if you are planning on heading to Marinas 22 on the Gold Coast 23rd/24th May, Early Bird discounts have been extended for one week! Not only will you save money, but there are limited spaces available for the Welcome Function aboard the superyacht YOT Club and the VIP Study Tour. These are the hottest tickets in town, you don't want to miss them. There is a great accommodation rate at the JW Marriott for delegates. This offer won't last and is yet another reason to get in early and secure your spot.

Book your tickets with confidence, knowing if Covid isolation prevents you from attending, a full refund of registration and accommodation fees will be provided (conditions apply). With a sold-out exhibition and some great networking events on offer, Marinas 22 is not to be missed.
