Over the past few days, we have already informed you about our major aid campaign for our friends in Ukraine. The first large shipment of brand-new relief material is to arrive at the warehouse on the Polish-Ukrainian border soon.
These include: Painkillers, wound dressings, infusion hoses, and special pads for treating severely bleeding limbs. All the things you need when someone brings destruction, mutilation and death to an entire people in a war of aggression and is prepared to walk over dead bodies - including the corpses of children.
My wife, Kerstin Thiele, is working day and night raising funds through our charity to buy more medical supplies. Our former colleague Ibrahim Memis, who "defected" to the medical industry, is now making a great contribution in helping us to procure the necessary supplies, by purchasing on behalf of our foundation and organizing the transport of goods. I would like to say a big "thank you" for this assistance.
Our partner and good friend Boris is also playing a key role in collecting donations through his network and in the distribution of aid in Ukraine. Boris, we are all on the side of Ukraine. We are all friends!
I would like to thank Professor Würth and his family for their significant spontaneous donation. The Liqui Moly family stands united. To everyone else involved, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the donations and overwhelming support. In so many ways, they all contribute to this joint humanitarian initiative by us and our customers.
Finally, I would like to tell you, dear representatives of the media, the moving story of our customer and friend who. has been part of the Liqui Moly family for many years. Only today, I spoke to him on the phone. He is in Kyiv wearing boots and outdoor clothing he bought himself - with a Kalashnikov in his hand. He brought his wife and two children across the border to safety. Now he is fighting a bloody battle, defending his homeland, his people and freedom and democracy - and thus all of us in Europe and also our women and children. I hope he is still alive when I call him again tonight.
Yours truly,
Ernst Prost
