Don your dancing shoes and get on down to the banks of the Blyth in Southwold for another rip-roaring harbourside festival on 28 June.
Southwold Sailing Club were overwhelmed by the amazing feedback to 2024's Harbour Festival. Everyone who came loved it, and in response to high demand, the club are once again delivering a fantastic line-up of live music, incorporating a beer festival and great mobile food outlets for visitors, residents and the wider community to enjoy.
This summer's bonanza will take place in the stunning setting of Southwold Harbour, where you can fill your senses with festival vibes through brilliant sights, sounds, and flavours! The area next to the visitor moorings at Blackshore Quay will host a large outdoor stage, food trucks supporting local caterers, and a mobile bar. A range of craft beers will be on tap from Green Jack and other local breweries.
A top quality selection of local musicians and bands includes acoustarock 'n' blues power duo the Flying Spoons, Cam T and band delivering perfect pop with a distinctive sound, the sonorous Lowestoft Longshoremen and singer/ songwriters Blackshore with original material. These will be followed by the energetic and ever-joyous Informers, with stomping, storming and funky northern soul band Frank and the Beans headlining. There will plenty of old favourites filling the air, and dancing in the street!
This year the event will be ticketed. Secure your spot now for just £10! With limited availability, tickets may sell out before the day — don't risk missing out or paying £15 at the gate if there are any spare. Book early and save! You will also be helping raise funds for Southwold Sailing Club's Get Onboard campaign to improve the club's infrastructure and equipment.
The event runs from 2 to 11pm. To book festival tickets or for more information on the club, its activities, and how to get involved, please visit www.southwoldsc.org or see the poster on Facebook.
Please note that there will be no parking at the harbour except for Disabled Badge holders.
