The prestigious WOW (Women on Water) organization in Denmark will be hosting the Women's SAILING Champions League regatta that will take place in 2023 at Sundby, Copenhagen at the "Maritime Ungdomshus". The number of participating sailing clubs will be 21 teams.

Sundby sailing association, which has held the Copenhagen WOW Sailing event for the past few years, will be the perfect place for such an event. Ed Rosso, President of ISLA (International Sailing League Association says, "ISLA is excited to have the Women's SCL 2023 event take place in Denmark where the Women-on-Water (WOW) movement started and the women participation rate in the National Sailing Leagues is one of the highest. We're expecting a great event with a strong participation of highly qualified teams representing the best women club teams from each nation."

It will be a mix of international and national teams that will compete in Sundby. The host country will automatically be allocated two places, and then the places will be given to the other countries that have "Sailing Leagues" with women's teams. Right now, there are more than 23 nations with "Sailing Leagues", just like in Denmark, and it's these nations that have pure women crews who will participate in Sundby in 2023.

As a prelude to the event in 2023, several WOW events will be held in 2022, including the Copenhagen WOW Sailing event on September 17-18, Sundby, Copenhagen at the 'Maritime Ungdomshus'.
