Eastern Yacht Club Partners with Mustang Survival to Host 2025 J/70 Corinthian World Championship

The Eastern Yacht Club and Mustang Survival are thrilled to announce a partnership to bring the 2025 J/70 Corinthian World Championship to the waters of Marblehead, Massachusetts.

Mustang Survival, global leader in technical apparel and maritime safety equipment, has announced their title sponsorship for the regatta set to take place September 22 - 27, 2025. The highly competitive event is expected to draw 50 boats with skippers and crew members from all over the globe.

"Partnering with the Eastern Yacht Club and the J/70 class is a great opportunity to deepen our connection with the sailing community on the East Coast and showcase our ongoing commitment to the sport."

The J/70 International Class Association is recognized by World Sailing with active fleets in 20 countries and over 1,500 boats worldwide attracting some of the most talented sailors in the world and helping to spark growth across Europe and the Americas.

The Eastern Yacht Club has also hosted a multitude of local, national, and international sailing events, including the Etchells Worlds, Star Worlds, IOD Worlds, Olympic Class Regattas, Viper 640 North Americans, Sonar Worlds, J105 North Americans, Sailing Chubb Jr, Marblehead NOOD, ILCA Masters. Coming up in 2025 they'll host the Rhodes 19 National Championship.

From the beginning, the Eastern Yacht Club became a leader in yacht racing with Puritan, Mayflower, and Volunteer, all flying Eastern colors, successfully defeating their British challengers in the America's Cup in 1885, 1886, and 1887. Nearly 130 years of yachting history can be found in Marblehead and in the EYC clubhouse with trophies and medals marking its illustrious history.

Mustang Survival will host a pop-up shop at the event, offering participants, spectators, and yacht club members the opportunity to explore and try on Mustang's top-of-the-line products, including the Podium PFD, Khimera PFD, the Callan jacket and pants collection, and versatile smocks, along with a full range of offshore sailing gear.
