The New Year got away to a positive start with the resumption of regular club racing at Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron as well as the Starling, Womens and National Match Racing championships later this week.

Here's a collection of images from the bigger boats/earlier starts from the Doyle Sails Wednesday Night series - before the light started getting too awkward.

A moderate westerly breeze blowing down the Waitemata Harbour, was a great welcome back for the crews - allowing the boats to stretch their legs while keeping under control. Due to COVID restrictions one race was sailed in the Doyle Sails series before Christmas. Hopefully further restrictions will not be imposed on sailing allowing the season to be sailed out for all classes and events.
