Last week Hurricane Ida slammed Louisiana, an area rich in sport fishing history and culture.

With lodges and marinas destroyed and captains and guides out of work, the IGFA is preparing to make an initial distribution from the Worldwide Anglers Relief Fund (WARF) to help those in the recreational angling community get back on the water.

This is made possible by our partners at Costa Sunglasses, AFTCO, the Jose Wejebe Memorial Foundation, and the generosity of private donors.

To date, the WARF has given nearly $150,000 to guides, captains, lodges, and outfitters that have been impacted by natural disasters. Every dollar donated goes directly to those impacted.

Here are the ways you can help:

Donate to the WARF

The WARF accepts donations from the global recreational angling community and makes grants to local angling organizations to speed recovery efforts and get captains, guides, mates, and anglers back out on the water.

Support Costa's #OneCoast

All proceeds from your purchase of Costa's #OneCoast T-Shirts help bring relief to our coastal family and friends affected by natural disasters.

Make an AFTCO purchase

Today, our friends at AFTCO will donate 100% of net proceeds from orders placed on aftco.com to the WARF to help provide post-disaster support to the Louisiana recreational angling community affected by hurricane IDA.

For more information, please contact the IGFA via email at or via phone at 954-927-2628.
