The Role;
We are looking for an experienced account manager to join our team.
This position will suit someone who has a couple of years sales experience in the marine industry and is looking to take the next step in their career. You will have your own accounts and targets which will be spread across both the After Market and OEM sectors. You will be working closely with the Sector Managers to ensure that the sales strategy for both sectors is carried out and that both collectively and individually we hit our targets.
You will be mainly based from our Lymington office, however working from home part of the time is an option should you wish to.
Your key responsibilities will be as follows;
- Account Management and business development of the accounts assigned to you
- Work with the After Market and OEM sector managers to ensure that the company sales strategies are carried out
- Visit accounts to gain an understanding of their business and work with them in partnership
- Be the first point of contact for customers. both processing orders and answering technical queries.
- Attend boat shows and other marine events to represent Harken, meeting both trade and retail customers.
Skills and Experience;
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following skill and experience;
- Two years or more experience in an account manager role
- Technical knowledge of yacht and dinghy hardware
- Good organisational and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Have a positive can do attitude
- Be self-motivated and able to work both on your own and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel (this may include overnight stays) and a manual driving license
