USA1 HOLDS PERFECT RACE WIN RECORD AS PRESSURE BUILDS TOWARDS ROUND ONE ELIMINATION
After 123 races in round one of the Indigo ISAF World Team racing Championship at Dun Laoghaire (Dublin, Ireland), Josh Adams USA1 team holds a perfect set of results with 13 race wins so far. For these three crews at the top of the leaderboard, the issue is more whether they can maintain
a 100 per cent record as their place in the Gold fleet after this gruelling selection round ends tomorrow lunchtime.
Also certain to make the cut is the GBR1 team who have only dropped one race in 13 so far, along with the second American and British teams. The single New Zealand team are assured of their place too but after these nations, the places in the ten team Gold fleet are wide open. Another
round robin series will be sailed in both the Gold and Silver fleets with the elite division slimming to just eight teams for the final series that is expected to commence on Friday afternoon.
