Another year passes and a new decade begins - Australian MarineBusinessWorld.com newsletter

While we despair at the current situation in Australia and the ongoing fire emergency being experienced particularly in Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales it's the time of the year when we reflect on the past year and look forward at the start of a new decade.

It's been a turbulent year globally in politics with new governments being elected in both Australia and the UK, while the USA anticipates another election later this year. With a trade war between the US and China now being slowly scaled down and new free trade agreements being sought between the UK and some of its past trading partners, 2020 will continue to be a period of economic uncertainty tinged with a slightly optimistic feeling of ongoing trade opportunities to balance things out.

How this pans out for the boating industry in Australia is yet to be defined but businesses appear to be tentatively optimistic. Two of Australia's largest boat builders continue to increase their sales overseas and a number of smaller boat manufacturers are maintaining buoyant sales, while imports of both power boats and sailing yachts continue to grace our shores.

At Sail-World, Powerboat-World and Marine Business World we hope that all marine businesses across the country enjoy positive trading conditions throughout 2020 and beyond.

Our organisation will continue to bring the very latest news from both the sailing scene, with event reports and continuous updates while Powerboat-World is growing exponentially delivering news of new boats, electronics, design, propulsion units and everything else related to power craft over 10m through to superyachts. Last month Sail-World was accessed by over 220,000 unique visitors globally and the vision is for the powerboat-world sites, covering North America, Europe and Oceania will replicate those statistics as the word spreads of their unique format.

Our Marine Business World sites, now three separate sites covering Australia, North America and Europe, will continue to bring you the news from the full range of boating industry members. We maintain our open invitation for companies to send us their news be it new products, new people, event appearances, premise changes or job vacancies and we will post to the appropriate site within hours of receipt, unconditionally.

The last twelve months have flown past far too quickly and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our many advertisers for their continued support. We look forward to assisting them with increasing their brand and product exposure through 2020. If your company would like details of how we can assist with your marketing objectives please contact Peter Rendle, peter.rendle@sail-world.com to receive an overview of our banner and content packages, tailored to meet you specific requirements.
