It seems every month there are new enforcements for cruising boats heading south.

Following last month's announcement that the new Immigration NZeTA would be required by all travelers on the visa waiver program, it has now been confirmed that yacht crew are exempt and do not need to apply for an NZeTA in advance.

Biosecurity NZ are however tightening up and from 1 November will start to issue infringement notices of $400 to boat owners who have not submitted notice of arrival documents in the required time frames.

Be sure to carefully read the Noonsite NZ Formalities section, completely updated this month and there to help you avoid any unwanted fines.
