The second GKA Kite-Surf World Cup event of the season wrapped up yesterday at Brandenburger Strand on the island of Sylt.

Throughout the week the riders were blessed with a mixture of strong and steady cross-onshore conditions which were interspersed with baking hot sunshine on the windless days. It wasn't what you might always expect from Northern Europe in summer, but it was epic!

Airton Cozzolino won both the single and double eliminations to take the overall tour lead from Mitu Monteiro while Carla Herrera Oria also took a clean sweep, winning both the singles and doubles in the women's division. She now moves into second place overall in the rankings behind top ranked female rider Charlotte Carpentier who finished second here in Sylt.
