It was the first GP of the season at Grafham Water Sailing Club. Tricky winds and Baltic temperatures couldn't stop the WASZP sailors.

Max Todd lead the first two races with newbie James Grey taking the third race. Dan Wellbourn Hesp sailed a consistent series showing how well the youth can take on the big boys taking a bullet on day two. The second day's wind was more consistent and gave the fleet some awesome foiling and the top three pushing each other all the way round.

It was the first time many of the sailors had used the new large foil that replaces the old racing foil so as everyone ate dinner together on Saturday night there were lots of chat on how it felt.

45% of the fleet were women, NZ and the USA were represented showing how diverse the class is.

Thank you to Max who gave us all top tips between races. Sam Sarks for all his funny stories. Thank you to the Grafham Race Team who got in all eight races of the series. Thank you to our sponsors, Zhik for supplying us with quality prizes and Noble Marine Insurance.
