Harken UK are looking for a new crew member! As a sales representative you will be working in the aftermarket sector striving to grow our market share and supporting and guiding our customers.
You will be working with a variety of account types who are based all over the UK so it is important that you enjoy a challenge and variation. You will need to be a self-starter with good administration skills, happy to take the initiative and execute sales plans and strategies while also building a good relationship with our customers.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a keen sailor with considerable experience behind you and technical knowledge of deck hardware applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage trade accounts, including;
- New business development
- Target setting for the year
- Relationship building
- Quotes and specifications
- Merchandising
- Assist with creating the aftermarket strategies annually and quarterly
- Identify marketing campaigns and liaise with the marketing team to drive them to successful completion
- Technical support to customers and end users
- Support and attend marine Shows
Essential Requirements
- Field sales experience in the marine industry
- A proven track record of hitting targets
- Experience working to a detailed sales strategy
- Technical knowledge of sailing equipment and deck hardware
- Experience of computerized order input and CRM systems
- Competent and confident in using Excel
- Ability to identify and create business opportunities
- Good standard of spoken and written English
- Full driving license
Location, Hours and Benefits
- Full time (8:30am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday), both on the road and at our head office in Lymington
