Harken UK have a rare opportunity for a sales rep to join their sales team. This is a great opportunity for someone who been working in the marine industry for a few years to take the next step in their career and to join a company that prides itself on the quality of its products and the development opportunities it offers to its staff.

You will be working with our aftermarket accounts, growing our market share and supporting and guiding our customers. You will be working with a variety of account types who are based all over the UK so it is important that you enjoy a challenge and variation. You will need to be a self-starter, happy to take the initiative and execute sales plans and strategies while also building a good relationship with our customers.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a keen sailor with considerable experience behind you and technical knowledge of deck hardware applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage trade accounts, including;
• New business development
• Target setting for the year
• Relationship building
• Quotes and specifications
• Merchandising
• Technical support to sales and customer service teams
• Support and attend marine Shows

• Field sales experience in the yachting industry
• Technical knowledge of sailing equipment and deck hardware
• Experience of computerized order input and CRM systems
• Competent and confident in using Excel
• Ability to work on your own and build business
• Good standard of spoken and written English
• Full driving license

• Full time (8:30am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday), both on the road and at our head office in Lymington, Hampshire.
