Six Hansa boats made up of four 303 one person class and two 2.3 Class turned up for the final Scottish TT at Clydemuirshiel. These were joined at this multiclass event by five Challengers. All sailed within their class. There were eleven boats in total, a record attendance to a Scottish multiclass regatta.

After the extremely strong wind on Saturday, the day before, the wind, thankfully calmed down enough for a good day of racing. The winds were variable from very light winds, to 15 mph winds with gusts up to 30 mph. The wind came from mainly one direction but for one short moment it came from the complete other direction!

The racing was set up on a triangle course.

The Hansas were joined by a sailor from England, Mike Everitt, from Frensham Pond, who was kept a secret from most Hansa sailors and they were given a surprise when he was noticed.

Rory McKinna, who won every single race at this year's Scottish TTs to date, managed to win 2 races this time and Mike Everitt also won 2 races. The tie break put Mike ahead and he took the overall win in the 303 one person class.

Some challenges for position were fought by everyone over the course of the day. Penalty turns were also performed, however in the stronger wind, they were quite tricky to complete. Phil Reoch and Craig Holland constantly fought with each other, not letting the other get further ahead.

Sasha Piper and John Hepburn, sailing in the 2.3s had a good day of racing, with a smiling face from Sasha who managed to win the overall place today.

Five Challengers were also taking part in their own races today, starting just after the Hansas, having their first mark much further than the Hansa's first mark. In the first race, Jessica Campbell did not make the start on time and started the race without her! However she still managed to beat the other Challengers over the course of the day.

Heather O'Pray successfully managed to complete one full race before the wind got too much. However she very courageously attempted to complete all the races.

With this being the final Scottish TT this year, the results over the year were given out with Rory McKinna winning the 303 Single and Sasha Piper winning the 2.3.

Thanks go to the staff of Castle Semple Centre and to the races officers.
