Newport International Boat Show names America's Boating Club as its 2018 Charitable Partner

Newport Exhibition Group, owners and producers of the Newport International Boat Show, announced today that America's Boating Club – United States Power Squadrons is its Official Charitable Partner for the 48th Annual Newport International Boat Show. The Newport International Boat Show will provide complimentary exhibit space and the opportunity for America's Boating Club to present relevant boating seminars to showgoers.

"We are delighted to welcome America's Boating Club – United States Power Squadrons to the Newport International Boat Show as our Charitable Partner for 2018," said Nancy Piffard, show director, Newport Exhibition Group. "The members of America's Boating Club set a fine example for the entire boating public by having fun while being educated, responsible and safe boaters. We look forward to their involvement in the show and spreading the word of safety while underway."

Offering classes For Boaters, By BoatersTMin boat handling, navigation, boat maintenance, weather and related subjects, America's Boating Club – United States Power Squadrons serves as a virtual "yacht club" with boating and social activities for all types of recreational boaters. With over 27,000 members organized into 356 local clubs across the country, America's Boating Club is comprised of families who contribute to their communities by promoting safe boating through education.

America's Boating Club members are vital to strengthening the communities they live in and know it's important to live their values by giving back through public service and volunteer opportunities. They provide courtesy vessel safety checks, help the NOAA's National Ocean Service keep nautical charts accurate and organize beach cleanups.

The Newport International Boat Show will take place September 13-16, 2018 on the Newport Waterfront along America's Cup Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island.
