The best fitting cap in a fickle market

Quality Marine Clothing (QMC) is proud to announce after exhaustive testing they have perfected the best cap on the market.

A cap is not just a cap in the extremely demanding marine market. A cap is an essential piece of kit, not only for sun protection and warmth; it can also make a serious difference to a sailor's well-being and enjoyment. The marine crowd are highly discerning when it comes to their headwear.

In keeping with their ethos of 'Keeping the marine industry looking good', Partner and Sales Director Duncan Curnow decided QMC would tackle the quest for a superior marine cap.

After listening to feedback over a number of years Curnow knew that the marine market wanted a different cap to land-based cap wearers. He realised he was on a winner when within 30 minutes of a social media post about the new cap orders were flowing in.

One of the first purchasers of QMC's new offering was Joe Akacich (aka Black Joe), from Blackpond Marine Consultants, a well-known character in the marine Industry. He believes it is the best cap he has ever worn and is his new favourite.

So what is so special about the QMC Quick Dry cap?

Firstly, there is no metal to rust or corrode –no button on top (which many complain spikes their head), and no clasp at the back. Rather a secure Velcro rear closure. Secondly, the essential cap lanyard is attached of course, but a little longer than other similar caps. The cap is unstructured, ensuring it fits almost every head – and of course being a microfibre ensures it is also quick drying.

Thirdly, the cap has a water repellent coating and the fabric is entrenched with a UV Sun Protection.

Who ever thought caps could be so technical! The QMC Quick Dry cap has a RRP of $29.95 and is available from leading retailers nationwide in 5 colours – Navy, Red, White, Black and Platinum.

Should you want custom branding on the cap, QMC can do that for you whether you want embroidery or transfers. You can contact them directly at
