Visitors to the National Watersports Festival (NWF) this June will be able to experience dinghy sailing and windsurfing with taster sessions running throughout the weekend supported by the RYA.

NWF returns to Rutland Water in the Midlands for three days on 08-10 June, celebrating 'everything watersports' with stand up paddleboarding, kayaking and diving all on offer along with sailing and windsurfing. There's also racing, demos, live music, local food plus camping available on site.

RYA Director of Sport Development Alistair Dickson said: "The NWF is a fantastic event and we are delighted that for the first time it will include dinghy sailing, alongside windsurfing and other great activities. We look forward to being there and helping get as many people as possible out on the water".

NWF Organiser Allan Cross said: "The main aims of The National Watersports Festival are to encourage like-minded watersports enthusiasts of all abilities and ages to have a great time on and off the water in a friendly and safe festival environment".

The family friendly sailing and windsurfing taster sessions are open to anyone over the age of eight and no experience is necessary. To book your taster session visit the NWF website.

Junior windsurfers can take advantage of the popular Team15 Skills Clinics which are returning on Saturday and Sunday run by RYA National and Zone squad coach Sam Ross. The 'Micro Blaster Race' for under 16's is the perfect opportunity to put the new skills to the test. Find out more here.

If you're looking to try out a new boat then demos are available with RS Sailing, Fusion Sailboats, Hartley Boats and Laser Performance who will all be at the event showcasing their latest boats.

There's also the chance to find out more information about the new RYA suite of pilot foiling courses including RYA First Flights, Sustained Flights and Performance Flights.
