Interested in sailing, paddle boarding, windsurfing, canoeing or sail or motor cruising? Looking for a friendly club that welcomes all generations and abilities as well as families across a wide variety of water borne activities? Join us at the Hayling Island Sailing Club Open day taking place Monday 28th May 2018.

There will be fun activities, a hospitable welcome, café's and bars, live music and people on hand to tell you all about the club and its incredible range of activities both waterside and social. There's the added incentive of a waiver on joining fees for anyone taking out membership before June 2018, representing a saving of £350.

There's never been a better time to join Hayling Island Sailing Club and you don't have to own a boat to be a member. HISC offers some of the finest sailing, shore and social facilities anywhere in the country. The club sits in a stunning position at the entrance to Chichester Harbour with access to the water at all states of the tide, as well as a gorgeous sandy beach and sheltered lagoon. The club supports a wide variety of activities including dinghy training, racing and sailing, a very active youth sailing programme, windsurfing, paddle-boarding and kayaking and a friendly and active cruiser and social sailing calendar. With stunning views over Chichester Harbour, the club has wide and welcoming balconies, beaches and picnic areas as well as a barista café, large bar, restaurant, and snack bar plus comfortable onsite accommodation, modern changing rooms, meeting rooms and training facilities.

For families wishing to take up an activity that will embrace all ages, HISC offers fun and engaging water-based events for toddlers through to adults, a special Women on Water initiative as well as an exciting and competitive dinghy racing and cruiser scene for anyone willing to give it a go. The club has an extensive hire boat fleet of over 30 boats to make access to the water as easy, low-cost and hassle-free as possible; everything from children's boats to family picnic boats and brand-new racing dinghies are available to rent for the day.

For cruiser owners there is an active racing and social schedule, as well as low cost moorings, for board sports and canoeing enthusiasts there is free parking, easy access to the water and on-site showers, café, restaurant and bar as well as a fun and social activities programme.

Commenting on the announcement, David Nicholls, Chair of HISC Membership Committee said, "HISC is a very special and welcoming club offering water-based activities for people of all ages and abilities. The club has exceptional facilities and opportunities for families, individuals and young people in terms of life skills, peer groups, support and friendship. We are really passionate to offer this opportunity to anyone thinking of taking up sailing or watersports and hope that by waiving our joining fee and arranging this Open Day we will welcome many new people to our wonderful club."
