D-One Gold Cup preview

The D-One Gold Cup returns to its 'home' of Riva Del Garda this week with racing commencing on Friday. The D-One was developed by the charismatic Luca Devoti on Lake Garda 6 years ago so the fleet returns to a venue for which the boat was literally designed.

The prevailing force 4-6 winds bring out the best from this refined but powerful single-hander downwind. The D-One was of course also designed to be sailed in the sunshine with a stunning mountain backdrop, so Riva is perfect!

There are 27 pre-entries from 6 countries and more expected to show on the day. In its short history, the D-One is already actively raced in 10 countries with growth in all of those countries making for great international racing
