Mirror North East Traveller Series overall

The series drew to a close at Rotherham, whilst numbers at some events have not been extremely high, forty boats have competed; with five qualifying for the series (four events), with an average of nine boats per meeting.
Despite this the competition has been very high, with three of the qualifying boats gaining places in the National squad, having being previously in the north zone squad. The teams being Lilly Carlisle and Becky Wallbank, Phillip Benn and Oliver Townsend, Inge-lisa Hansen and Hannah Mitchell.
Ian Escritt with sons Mathew and Callum won the NE Traveller Trophy, Ian is hoping in the future Mathew and Callum will sail together, requiring the purchase of another Mirror so he can go single handed.
Ray Baskerville third overall and first single hander won the cup for attending the most meetings other than the overall winner. A well deserved prize, he is always helping and encouraging people, runs training at Beaver as well as being Mirror fleet captain.
