Harken's Tech Team to provide technical support for sailors competing at Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week
Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week is a highlight in the British summer sporting calendar. Held in August every year since 1826 (except during two world wars) it is one of the UK's longest running sporting events.
Attracting a range of sailors as well as spectators for the shore-side entertainment, Cowes will become a constant buzz of excitement during this busy week in August.
As with any regatta technical support and maintenance is essential to keep crews safe and competitive out on the water. Every year Harken's Tech Team brings their regatta van to the Yacht Haven during Cowes Week.
Working in conjunction with local chandleries Pascall Atkey and Son, Jolliffes Chandlery and Fynn Marine the team will be providing technical advice and support to sailors throughout the week!
"It's great to be on the ground for an event such as this" explains Alun Hughes from Harken's Tech Team, "when crews need spares, replacements and or advice it needs to be there and then. Being able to speak with competing sailors face-to-face is what it's all about!"
