The second round of the RS Tera Northern Travellers Series takes place this weekend, hosted by Ripon Sailing Club. Ripon provides a great venue for the RS Tera class, having one of the largest fleets in the North with over 30 privately and club owned boats.
Craftinsure's Katy Phillips will be at the event, and will be providing coaching for the newest helms, with top tips on rig and sail setting.
The two day event brings together helms from across the North of England, and will see racing start at 11am on Saturday under the watchful eye of PRO Bernard Clark. With a BBQ and social on Saturday evening and the forecast of sunshine and a nice breeze it should be a great weekend.
The RS Tera Northern Travellers series takes in 4 venues throughout the summer months, with the Northern Championships at Bassenthwaite SC already held and the remaining two events being hosted by Derwent Reservoir SC and South Windermere SC. New to the calendar for 2015 is an Autumn Spectacular - to be hosted by Leigh and Lowton SC on 12 and 13 September.
Young helms from the North are also looking forward to the RS Tera World Championships which are being held at Bruinisse in Holland in late July, and the Nationals which will be held at WPNSA in late August. A busy summer ahead!
