This year's 49er nationals will be heading to Poole Yacht Club, running with a similar format to last year, with Friday's races counting for one race, and 3-4 races a day depending on weather conditions. Tides will be high for the weekend, giving the option to race inside the harbour or out in bay.

Poole Yacht Club hosted the 2.4mR World Championships last year and have some great conditions - a perfect environment for skiff racing. Some of the other highlights will be:

  • Open training on the 31st July, run by a team member from the British Sailing Team. Whether you have a boat or not, old or young this is a day for everyone.
  • BBQ one evening
  • Live band Saturday night
  • Spot prizes sponsored by Orange Bikes, Harken and Ovington Boats
  • Open debriefs with video footage after each day's racing
  • £75 entry fee

£75 will give you 3 days racing and the day's coaching prior to the event.

£25 is a one off payment for the Thursday's training, whether you're new out of 29ers, a club sailor or without a boat, this day is for everyone. With skiff tactics talks, land drills and a chance to practice it all on the water.

Online entry for the event or the training can be done through Sailracer here.
